OMG! A Dutch student in my sitting room!

One week ago I hosted a student in my house.Her name was Lotte and she was a very nice
girl.At first ,when I became a volunteer for this activity I was very excited, but when the day
arrived I was very nervous. Will she be nice? Is she going to think I’m nice? Is she going to feel
comfortable in my house? With my parents? With my brothers?.Before she came we had been
talking for two weeks, about our families hobbies and likes.That gave me more confidence.
When I saw her I felt excited, nervous, happy and a lot of things at the same time. The truth is
that we connected very well with each other. We went out every day in the afternoon and we all
had fun. The other students were also very nice. I felt very comfortable with all of them. In my
house everything was good, she wasn’t very shy so she talked even with my little brother, I was
very happy. The best thing is that during this week I really practiced a lot of English. I learned
some pronunciation and even some expressions that I didn’t know. I really liked the experience
and I will do it again a lot of times.
