What makes you feel alive?
It is one of the many things that I question myself throughout the days, weeks, months and even
years…
I think it is a complex and complicated question to answer instantly.
This question has a lot to think about your past, present and future. You even have to question things in
life that you have never thought about before, and that you are now doing. I doubt most people can
answer, I belong to that part of the population, but at least I’m going to try.
Where she got what makes me feel alive is from the people around me and the events that happen to
me throughout my short life.
What makes me feel alive is my family and their feelings towards me, because they love me just the way
I am, and they are very grateful for having me. For having a strong, courageous, and mature mother.
She is always there for whatever you need and advises very well, she is never wrong. I would like it to
be lost.
What makes me feel alive are my grandparents, who have truly been like my parents to me for most of
my life. They have lovingly cared for and raised me as if I were their daughter.
What makes me feel alive is to see fourteen years of my life in Andalusia after and still have the best
friends that no one could ever have, except me. I never thought I would meet her to love them so much. I
hope you don’t know never go. When I am with them I love to see them
laugh and that they are happy, that is one of the most important things that makes me feel alive. I am
grateful for everything they do for me. I miss them so much.
What makes me feel alive is the spirit of companionship and friendship that has taken over my whole
body since I arrived in Pamplona. I have a group of excellent friends, I couldn’t ask for more. They make
me feel free and safe. I can Show my true self, as I am, without being judged.
Also, what makes me feel alive is not always something positive, but there are also bad things, such as
friendships that come into your life and gradually move away, and when you realize it, they are gone. Or
that they simply stop talking to you, because they change you for another person. That feeling of
sadness is the one that makes me feel alive the most. Because it makes me think, reconsider, see
things in other ways, put myself in the skin from others, raise your head and move on, always keeping
positive thoughts.»If he left your life, it’s because he shouldn’t be in it, more people will come who will
want to be with you».
What makes me feel alive is the patience my cat has when being with me, hahaha, I don’t think
anyone has that much.
What makes me feel alive are all these emotions that have always accompanied me, throughout my
life, and will continue to do so.

How to build a pretty good house
In the end, our path is what only matters. Then, little things become big little things. Life is like a building, that simple coffee in your breakfast is one foundation and your successful English exam is another that makes the difference between a skyscraper and a tent. I do not hesitate, I’m preparing a skyscraper.
First of all, I’m extremely grateful to my parents. The first chapter of my life is written by them. It doesn’t take me a long time to make a difference. A little 2 year old girl tried to fly from her cot but, unfortunately, she learnt what gravity means and crashed with the floor. My price was a broken arm with a small scar in the elbow. However, I have a more extensible arm now and a special story to tell.
The next step is building the walls. I prefer brick walls because they are stronger and better than other materials like clay. I got my bricks by starting primary education at local school, always with my mother and tasty cheese sandwiches at the end of school. So delicious! Also, I used to play all evening videogames with my brother on the PS2, which looks like an old noisy machine now but those days it was our little electronic buddy. Besides, all of us remember our playing sessions in the park with strange children who become our best friends for one day (or more than one day!).
It’s important to know that these little walls are protected by some materials that can be obtained in secondary school. The worst or top part of human life, depending who you ask. You came from a happy flower road and suddenly you end up in a spooky one. Personally, secondary school built up my walls more than primary school. Maths, physics and chemistry became a reality instead of a fiction concept. Invisible things for children’s eyes become visible when you wear adult glasses for the first time. Unfortunately, you find how hard life is…From that moment, you can improve them or make it worse!
My choice is to make things better. I am going to paint my house’s walls while I will be helping others to build theirs. Apart from that, my experience at IES Plaza de la Cruz is being a trip where I discover what I want to do in the future. All the classes and spontaneous situations are important and I will keep them for the rest of my life.
As long as life allows me, I’ll carry on building my skyscraper with all the people that influenced my life and taking little pieces of all my experiences including wonderful ones and terrible ones. Remember, life is like a house and if you build a good house, it will be still standing forever.

Mirage
—I confess I’ve lived! – she shouted desperately.
—But you can’t prove it – her father said – can you?
—No, but…
And without even letting her finish, her dad told her that no one would ever believe her and he shut the door noisily.
I’d better start from the beginning of the story, though.
It was a rainy and unpleasant Sunday when Emma was looking through the window, trying to find a glimpse of something else, something she’d never seen before. But, what was she going to find in that unexciting city? Despite the joy others could find there, she felt completely miserable. Her dad was hardly ever at home and, at school, she didn’t have many friends. She felt so misunderstood. She just wanted to run away from her hometown and never return.
Daydreaming about it, she crossed a glance with herself. Everything she could see was a desolated girl with messy hair and old worn-out pajamas. “I don’t know how those girls always look stunning”, she thought. Nevertheless, she kept staring at the mirror in case there was a secret door that could take her away from there, like she had seen in movies before.
Next morning, the boisterous sound of the alarm clock woke her up unpleasantly. A terrible Monday was coming down on her. Emma got ready and left her house. On her way to school, she saw her reflection in a mirror which seemed really familiar to her. She got close to it and noticed she wasn’t seeing her actual self, but her yesterday self, wearing her pajamas. If that wasn’t weird enough, she noticed that mirror was identical to the one she had in her bedroom. Startled, she was about to run away when something ethereal stopped her from doing it. A gravitational force pulled her towards the mirror, and, suddenly, she couldn’t feel anything at all.
A few moments later, she wasn’t on that deserted street anymore. She was completely alone, but in a totally different place. It looked like a hallway covered in little mirrors. When Emma looked closer to them she could discern a series of reflections of her past self. It seemed like a kaleidoscope put together by flashes of her life. She noticed that in many of them she wasn’t alone. She could see her classmates, her dad, and even her mom. It had been a while since Emma hadn’t seen herself next to her mother. She had to hold back her tears when she saw with her own eyes a memory where her mom was giving her a bracelet, and she was so heartbroken because she had lost it. She couldn’t take it anymore. She covered her face with her hands as tears started streaming down her face.
Slightly recovered from her sadness, Emma looked around her and noticed she was on that lonely street again. As she didn’t feel like going to school, she went back home. When she arrived at her house she was surprised to see that her dad wasn’t at work.
—What are you doing here, Emma? – he asked – Aren’t you supposed to be at school? – And what about you? – she replied – Shouldn’t you be at work?
—Well, it’s none of your business. By the way, you look really unwell. What’s going on?
Emma didn’t want to tell her dad about her unbelievable experience, but that look on his face left her no choice.
—Something really weird happened to me – Emma said nervously – I was walking and, suddenly I saw a past reflection of myself, and then I was in a really strange place full of mirrors, and I saw mom, and I started crying, and…
—Are you laughing at me? Do you expect me to believe this? – he said angrily. – I confess I’ve lived! – she shouted desperately.
—But you can’t prove it – her father said – can you?
—No, but…
—No one will ever believe you!- her father shouted as he was leaving the room.
SuddenlyEmma noticed she could prove she had experienced that.
—Wait! – Emma yelled – If what I’m saying isn’t true, how can you explain that I’m wearing mom’s bracelet?
Her father looked at her wrist and, in effect, she was wearing that bracelet she’d lost like ages ago. He couldn’t believe it! It all seemed to be a mirage.

“All those little things that makes me feel alive”
As a teenager, I could talk about a big part of those who like to go to parties, drink, smoke, hang out all day… But from my point of view I will talk about how I see and I represent the meaning of feeling alive, each one has its own idea and mine is about the capacity of human feelings.
I love the way to live my emotions to the limits, these also include sadness. For me the idea of being a human is the capacity that we have to feel what is around us, those feelings that we experience when something we like or don’t. That’s what I think that differentiate us from other living beings. I could write a few more lines about what makes me feel alive yet, every idea would lead me to the same concept. There are more feelings to name, but I would only name 4. The way I could wake up happy and in a few minutes be sad, is so incredible to know, because it is nature. We can’t ignore that humans need to get angry, pass bad times, feel guilty, feel happiness… That is the circle of life, the capacity of feeling the most you can in such a short time as life, because life is only 2 minutes. So, when someone says «live everything you can”, referring to having many experiences, I would specify it and say “feel the most you can”. If you need to cry, cry all you can, that makes you feel free, feel human. Sadness is such an important concept in our lives, because if we didn’t have it life would be so simple and boring. Sometimes I have heard people saying, “oh I hope that sadness wouldn’t exist”, that’s not the solution, instead of saying that watch and learn a new lesson. The more you feel, the more you learn about the significance of life. The emotion of being angry is necessary in our lives, this emotion shows that we matter of things, that we love something and if something happens to it affects us. Is another way of expressing how we feel. Fear is such a horrible feeling when you are through it but then you realize that without it, humans couldn’t be alive, we need that emotion to say no to those things that we know that can hurt us.
Last but not least is the famous concept that all humans want to reach; happiness. The way of hearing a human laugh, seeing their shining eyes, see how passionate they are, how they fight for what they love… If we didn’t have the feeling of happiness, life wouldn’t have significance. Happiness gives us the capacity to keep living, to keep fighting against all your problems. Is truth that humans need to experience all those emotions that I have named before, but also having the hope of having a good time is necessary in a human mind. Because who would like to live their lives suffering, being angry, and any possibility of feeling happiness?
That is what I always said that life is composed of feelings; happiness, anger, sadness and fear. Because all depends on each of them, we need everything to feel full, that’s why the more you feel, life becomes more important. It doesn’t mean that you have to experience everything, it would be great but sometimes we don’t have enough time, enough money… So it’s as simple as living what you can at the limit, each feeling, feel it with all your soul. Because life is so beautiful as if to cover our eyes with a bandage. All these feelings make me feel alive. So, feel without regrets, let people criticize you, be yourself and never forget where you belong.
